Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening Game Drive
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Entebbe airport or your hotel by a guide from Spirit Of Tanzania Safaris. After a brief introduction, you’ll embark on a 6-hour scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Situated in southwestern Uganda, this region is renowned for its stunning landscapes shaped by the East African Rift Valley. Enjoy views of lakes, rivers, mountains, and forests, and observe local life, including the iconic Ankole cattle. En route, stop at the equator crossing for photos, the Igongo Cultural Centre for a glimpse into local heritage, and local markets for fresh tropical fruits. Lunch will be served at Igongo. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, freshen up, and set out for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi Plains to spot warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, and more.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Start early with a packed breakfast for a morning game drive, searching for early risers and nocturnal animals like leopards and lions. After returning for lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, known for its dense wildlife and rich birdlife. Spot crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of bird species.

After tracking the lions, journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi, relax, and prepare for the next day’s adventures.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi – Visit to the Batwa Pygmies
At 7:00 am, attend a briefing by park guides before setting off for a memorable gorilla trek. Track one of the 15 habituated gorilla families and spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Following the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa Pygmy community to learn about their traditional way of life and enjoy cultural performances.

Day 5: Transfer Back to Kampala – Departure

The best time to visit Bwindi for gorilla trekking is during the dry seasons, from June to September and December to February, when the trails are less muddy and more accessible.
