Family Safari in Tanzania Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome your family. Transfer to Tulia Boutique Hotel in Arusha, where you can unwind and enjoy the city’s pleasant climate and the hotel’s family-friendly amenities. Our safari manager will visit for a detailed briefing, setting the stage for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park After breakfast, drive through Arusha and the stunning Masai steppe to Tarangire National Park. En route, drop off your safari chef at Makuyuni Junction and enter the park for your first exhilarating game drive. Marvel at the iconic baobabs and the diverse wildlife, including large herds of elephants and rare species like the Fringed-eared Oryx. End your day with a scenic drive to your lodge, arriving before sunset.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park Depart for the Serengeti, crossing local villages and Karatu’s farmlands. After registration at the Ngorongoro gate and a brief stop at the Crater viewpoint for breathtaking photos, drive to the Serengeti. Visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience, then continue to Naabi Hills Gate for your afternoon game drive. Discover the wonders of the Great Wildebeest Migration before arriving at your camp.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, descending into this natural wonder for a day of game viewing. Explore the crater floor, home to abundant wildlife including wildebeest, zebra, and the elusive black rhino. Enjoy a visit to the hippo pool and a large alkaline lake frequented by flamingos. Drive to your lodge outside the park for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Zanzibar After breakfast, head back to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Optionally, visit the Maasai market or curio shops en route. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to Maru Maru Hotel and settle in.

Day 7-8: Zanzibar Beach Relax on Zanzibar’s stunning beaches. Enjoy the turquoise waters or arrange optional water sports suitable for kids, such as snorkeling and swimming. You can also explore the spice plantations and Stone Town, either on these days or on Day 9.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beach to Stone Town After breakfast, transfer to Stone Town. Optionally, visit a spice plantation and enjoy a lunch featuring local spices. Explore Stone Town’s vibrant streets, or take a boat ride to Prison Island and return by sunset.

Day 10: Departure Depending on your flight time, enjoy a guided tour of Stone Town or relax before your departure to Zanzibar Airport.
